Background Processing
Changes have been made to the Graphic User Interface(GUI) in PowerMILL 10 enabling users to: Continue working as normal when a toolpath is being processed in the background. Calculate two toolpaths simultaneously, one in the background and one in the foreground. Calculate toolpaths in the background and use a fresh allocation of memory (Up to 3GB on 32bit Windows and 4GB on 64bit Windows).
Multi-threading
PowerMILL 10 adds multi-threading capabilities to the toolpath creation algorithms. This significantly reduces the time required to calculate complex toolpaths when computed on a multi core/processor PC.
Block Improvements
It is now possible to lock the block to any workplane in PowerMILL 10. Dynamically resizing and moving the block is also available from the new block editor with constant feedback on the size of the block from the intelligent cursor.
Workplane Improvements
Creating and positioning workplanes has been improved for PowerMILL 10. Aligning a workplane to the corners or centre of a block is now simple and easy to do. The intelligent cursor can now be used to drag and position a workplane.
